Current planetary influences 29 June 2026

Over the next day or so there are a few notable planetary influences that you may want to know about as they will affect us all to varying degrees.

On the 29th at 18.36, Mercury stations retrograde at 26 degrees of Cancer and remains there until late on the 23rd of July. This is a time to revisit, revise and reconnect, and in sensitive Cancer it turns us toward home, family and feeling. The cardinal signs feel it most, Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn but Cancer most of all, alongside Gemini and Virgo. Mercury turns back beside Jupiter at the final degree of Cancer, gathering up all this past year taught us about belonging before the door closes.

Then in the small hours of the 30th, at 00.57, the Strawberry Moon comes to full at 8 degrees of Capricorn opposite the Sun in Cancer. This beautiful Moon asks whether the life you are building still leaves room for the soul that must live inside it. Cardinal signs feel this most, especially placements near 5 to 11 degrees, where the pull between the climb of the mountain goat and the hearth of the mother and home becomes impossible to ignore.

Just hours later, at 06.52, Jupiter steps into Leo until the 26th of July next year. After a long inward year, the greater benefic and planet of expansion walks into the light and invites us to show up and to create boldly and to lead with warmth. The fixed signs feel it first, Leo most of all, with Aries and Sagittarius catching the favourable current. Anyone born with Jupiter in Leo begins a Jupiter return.
