Scorpio Season! ♏︎

Scorpio season starts today and as the Sun shimmies out of Libra and into sultry Scorpio, she finds herself met with one of the busiest weeks in the sky this year.

Right now Venus is retrograde in Scorpio and is sitting about a degree from the Sun. At that distance she's combust, burned up in the Sun's light, and you might feel it as tiredness or doubt around love, money and your own worth. Things you were sure of a fortnight ago can suddenly feel unclear. Early tomorrow morning the two meet exactly at 0 degrees Scorpio and for a short while Venus is cazimi, in the heart of the Sun. The old astrologers saw this as the moment a planet is held and strengthened by the Sun rather than burned by it. This is the turning point of the whole Venus retrograde. She stops being the evening star and in a few weeks she'll rise again as the morning star. If setting intentions is your thing then tomorrow morning is the time to do just that and make it meaningful one.

Both the Sun and Venus are also squaring Pluto in Aquarius and Pluto never lets things stay buried. You may see themes around jealousy, control and money rearing their head around relationships this week, along with old hurts you thought you'd dealt with. It can feel heavy but I've always found that what Pluto resurrects is what we were ready to look at anyway.

On Sunday Venus slips back into Libra, where she'll stay until she turns direct in mid November. Scorpio showed us the truth and Libra asks what we're going to do about it. Partnerships and agreements come up for review, and people from the past often turn up under this transit. If someone you walked away from comes knocking, remember why you left before you open the door.

Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio tomorrow as well, just a few hours after the cazimi and stays that way until 13 November. In Scorpio this is less about lost keys and more about what isn't being said. Watch for assumptions, read anything you sign twice and give people a chance to explain before you decide what they meant.

So we have two personal planets retrograde, the Sun in Scorpio and Pluto pressing on all of it. This is a time to look back, clear out and come clean rather than start anything new. What you let go of now makes space for what comes in once both planets turn direct in November.
