Mercury retrograde in Pisces

Mercury stations retrograde in Pisces on 26 February 2026 and you may already feel the shift. The shadow has actually been in play since around 11 February, so that sense of déjà vu, crossed wires or unfinished business hasn’t come out of nowhere. Even once Mercury turns direct on 20 March, we’re still integrating it through the shadow into early April.

Mercury in Pisces doesn’t think in straight lines. It feels, it senses, it absorbs and it speaks in dreams, symbols and subtle cues. So when it goes retrograde here, the fog can thicken. Old conversations resurface, past loves or unresolved emotions drift back in, and what we thought was clear suddenly feels fluid again. Misunderstandings aren’t always dramatic, they’re quiet, unspoken assumptions, things implied rather than said.

It’s not a negative time and this isn’t all about confusion, it’s spiritual recalibration. This retrograde softens the ego’s need to be right and invites you to listen differently possibly to your intuition, to what wasn’t said and to the spaces between the words. By the time Mercury clears its shadow in April, the emotional mist begins to lift and what remains is a deeper, more compassionate understanding of yourself and others.

On a very practical level, It’s a great time for researching, revisiting, reworking, planning and not necessarily for committing to something new. Try to have a back-up plan if travelling and it can be a time of delays and frustrations when things aren’t linear. Check and double check details. Rather than being fearful or negative around these retrogrades, a change of perspective is more appropriate as they are a time of second chances and do-overs and a chance to decide how you really feel about something (especially in Pisces). See this period not as a delay but as a period of grace. Remove the dread and be

open to the exploration. ☿℞♓︎
